I’m Marian Page, and I’ve spent 24 years as a teacher and librarian, dedicated to spreading the gospel of literacy. I believe passionately that books have the power to transform lives, open minds, and create lifelong learners. But here’s the twist, I also believe life is too short not to laugh until your sides hurt.
My journey into adult comedy writing started with my darling husband, Thomas, who tossed me the idea for Tommy Likes to Play with His Balls as a joke. Instead of laughing it off, I ran with it. The result? A vintage-style parody wrapped in modern humor that celebrates the joy of playfulness at any age.
What Makes Me Tick
Literary Passion: I genuinely believe there’s a book out there for everyone. My mission is to connect people with stories that resonate, whether they’re laugh-out-loud funny or deeply moving.
Punny Personality: I’m a proud pun enthusiast who loves clever wordplay, innuendo, and humor that makes you think twice before you get the joke.
Vintage Soul, Modern Mind: You’ll find me rocking 1940s and 1950s style dresses while cracking jokes that would scandalize that era. I love blending classic elegance with contemporary sass.
Education Advocate: After more than two decades in education, I know firsthand how literacy changes lives. Every laugh I create is rooted in a deep respect for the written word.
Why I Write What I Write
Comedy is medicine. In a world that takes itself too seriously, I create books that give adults permission to be playful again. My humor is cheeky without being vulgar, naughty without crossing lines, and always clever enough to make you read it twice.
I write for book lovers who appreciate wit, parents who need a laugh after bedtime battles, and anyone who believes humor and intelligence aren’t mutually exclusive.
